About Us

Who We Are

We are the Robotics Teams at the High School of Engineering and Science. Our main goal is to learn more about the fields of engineering while gaining hands on experience through solving problems. We are mentored by local engineers from the Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) and we are partnered with Temple University’s National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Chapter. Our relationship with NAVSEA and NSBE not only gives us an idea of what a real engineer is like, but it also provides us with networking opportunities and job opportunities over the summer.

Mission
  1. Create meaningful design-based STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) educational experiences for members
  2. Be competitive and win
  3. Build and promote club, team, and school identity: TechHeroes!

Vision
To foster a community to give students the confidence and inspiration to develop their own career and education goals in STEM fields and take on engineering problems of the future through design-based STEM educational experiences and mentoring.

Motto
"Those who say it can't be done should not interrupt those doing it"
