E&S Robotics Stars meet 4- Stars at Black Engineer of theYear Conference

Some of our robotics team members met U.S. Air Force four-star General Rice and many other very high ranking military engineers and Dept. of Defense scientists Friday evening 2/17 at the 'Stars & Stripes' mentoring event.  This culminated a military themed day at this year's Black Engineer of the Year national event held this year in Philadelphia this past weekend.  Those students in attendance were senior Brandon Brinson, juniors Josh Case and Kasimir Braxton, sophomore Stephen Pettus, and freshmen Luis Lopez and Lauren Stuckman who each received a gift bag from the mentors.  Thanks again to these students who stuck in out despite emergency events at our school Friday afternoon. Our attendance, transportation, and meal was made possible by support from Temple University's Dr. Jaime Bracey and her work as STEM Outreach Director and MESA Program Coordinator.  Thank you Dr. Bracey!  Thanks also to Ms. Maiden who assisted with student recruitment.
