Sat. Feb. 4th was a day to put to the test and show off all the hard work the E&S Robotics Team has put in this year. It turned out also to be a day to celebrate!
Congratulations to the First Tech Challenge(FTC) rookie E&S Robotics Team 'Tech Heroes' who qualified for the state competition Saturday at the regional qualifier at West Philly High School. They earned 1st place with their Design Notebook (the 'Think' Award) and 5th place overall at the Philadelphia regional competition. The Pennsylvania FTC State Championship in Williamsport, PA on Sat. Feb. 25th at Penn State Univ.'s Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The following E&S students participated in the competition yesterday: Team Captain & Engineer Eric Smalls, Lead Engineer Josh Case, Manager Brandon Brinson, Mechanical Engineer Cevan Noell, 3-D modeling specialist Andrea Flemings, Fund-raiser Jaime Scott, as well as freshman: programmer Alisia Flemings, fund-raiser Andrew Chek, videographer Josh Neilson, and E&S supporter Lauren Stuckman. Thanks to some of the families who came out to support your students and with their time commitment after-school. Other students Antonio Williams, Kasimir Braxton, Orrin Lewis and Stephen Pettus could not attend but played critical roles in the team.
