Engineering Design Club celebrates National Engineering Week at NAVSEA on 2/20/14

Congratulations to the students who competed and celebrated National Engineers Week at the NAVSEA base in South Philly on 2/20/14.  Kai Tinsley, Andrew Chek, and Josiah Muledi lead the FTC Team #5321 presentation of their winning design to the engineering leadership at the base: Patricia Woody and the base captain.
We also were treated to the keynote speaker from Google who invented Google Earth!

These students won the 'SumoBot' robot wresting contest held at the base as part of the celebration:
1st Place: Josiah Muledi, Andrew Chek
2nd Place: Mykyah Vessels
3rd Place: Leonardo Reyes, Brian Swift

The NAVSEA Philadelphia base provides the Navy's primary technical expertise and facilities for both naval machinery research & development and naval machinery life cycle engineering. They employ many of our students as intern in the SEAP program every summer (Science, Engineering Apprenticeship Program).

Pictures coming...
