Congrats to seniors Andrew Chek and Harold Easley and juniors Josiah Muledi and Dave Joseph who took home the prized Rookie All Star Award at our inaugural First Robotics Competition over three days at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. The award automatically advances the team to the District Championship near Lehigh University from April 8-11. Students Adama Doumbia, Josh Williams and Dajuwan Seward also came out to assist the team. We learned a lot and had our share of technical glitches winning three of twelve matches. The great spirit of gracious professionalism in First Robotics was on display as our team received support from veterans Atomic Dragons and Miracle Workers.
A shout out to our Team Manager Dave Joseph who presented our business plan and team's story to the executives and judges. The teamwork and role players we have makes our school very proud to have these students represent us.
Thanks again to our team's platinum sponsors who made it possible: NDEP, NAVSEA, and Comcast NBCUniversal. Mentor engineer Pinkesh Bharatia from NAVSEA supported the team Friday morning. A special thanks to Comcast executive Senior Vice President Theresa Hennesy and CEO Mark Dzuban of the Society of Telecom. Engineers who enjoyed meeting our team and went out of there way to show us they believed in our team. Also a thank you to the RoboLancers for helping our team get started this year.
