My name is Moses Adenaike, and I am the National Society of Black Engineers
Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Chair of the University of Pennsylvania Chapter. As the PCI Chair, it is my mission to get both middle and high school students interested and engaged in STEM
(science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) related activities. The purpose of this effort
is to expose young students to another avenue of success in which they are not already actively
engaged. In this day and age, especially in disadvantaged communities, sports and entertainment
are often glorified as the ultimate career paths. Having been exposed to the field of engineering
and science for years now, I can confidently say that this is not the case. Through this STEM
Conference, I intend to expand the minds of these students and show them that STEM fields
have the capacity to be interesting, innovative, cool, fun, profitable, and above all world
changing. By the end of the conference, you the student will have hopefully gained a bit more
insight into these fields and be willing to get involved in the future. Also did I mention very
awesome free food!? Space is limited and slots will be granted on a first come first serve basis.
Also email me Moses Adenaike at upennnsbepci@gmail.com with any questions!
Thank you
